BA in Biology 1975 and MBA in Industrial Relations - both University
of Chicago. So I became a CPA and did that from 1977 through
1995. I was a partner at Deloitte & Touche for 11 years and
ran their Banking Practice (here's a major claim to fame - I
wrote the AICPA Accounting and Audit Guide for Depository Institutions).
Became CFO of Instinet Corporation in 1995 and founder, President
and CEO of Instinet Clearing Services in 1999. Retired for the
first time June 29, 2001. So far so good.
Married to Ann for 14 years. But I've known her for 29. 3 grown kids (nieces really but not to me) Corey - married and 27, Erin - single and 25, Lissa - single and 23. We live on a farm with the aforementioned kids when they are here, 11 horses (7 are ours), 4 dogs, 5 cats and 2 frogs (who ever thought frogs could live to be 10? Mine are). More or less around the corner from Philip Jacoby whom I plan to hunt down and get to know again one of these days soon.
Wish I could be there but we promised ourselves this trip to mark my retirement (temporary? who knows!)
