Now living in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Mr. Radin taught at JHS167 from Sept 1961 to August 1971. Married to Helen with children David and Jonathan and grandchildren Abigail and Allison (Twins 18 Months)

I left 167 with the Principal (Walker) in 1971 to help open a new I.S. in Staten Island. Then to a school district office in Brooklyn. There I did a stint as a computer coordinator and Principal. Thence to Board of Ed headquarters in 1985. I ran 3 different citywide programs over the last 10 years of my career.

Had a lot of fun. Now Helen and I are retired. My wife had hip replacement surgery in January at Hospital for Special Surgery in NY and I visited 167 during that week. Two teachers remain from the period when you were there - one Gym teacher named Palmer and one Social Studies teacher named Hrbek. I visited with the former and passed by the latter's room.

The only other person I recognized was an English teacher who came the year I left. I don't remember her name but then you wouldn't have known her anyway.

I retired from the NYC BOE in August 1995. I have twin girl grandchildren who were adopted in November 2000 from China (went with the kids to pick them up). I am active in local government (volunteering with the schools, Conservation Commission and Planning Board) and maintain data bases for local do gooder organizations.

I have fine memories of many of my former students and a general curiosity about their life achievements. Whenever I have a chance I try and look them up.
